The propossed project "Urban construction logistics (UBLO/UCL)" addresses the coordination of multiple construction sites in agglomerations in order to reduce environmental impact, reduce traffic congestions, improve safety and drive construction site efficiency. 

UCL is a multi stakeholder problem where public administration, society, construction site operation, logistics planning, suppliers and logistics have their individual stake with limited incentives and ressources to coordinate and collaborate.

Within the final report of the UBLO  working group ITS and VNL) we found specific recommendation to improve the situation in mid and long term.

Meanwhile ths discussion with Innosuisse coaches resulted in a  recommendation to design an Innosuisse Flagship project with major workpackages:

• Public management and governance structure
• Logistics and Traffic  Management
• Transparency / Data driven decision making (e.g. using MODI Sandbox)

The project idea is supported by Bundesamt für Raumentwicklung, BAV MODI and  INNOSUISSE Coach
